Tell us what you think!
As the State's peak environment group, we represent our members and supporters, so it is crucial that we find out what interests you and what your biggest concerns are. By completing our 2010 supporter environment survey you will be helping us to represent you more effectively in these critical times for WA's precious environment. The survey contains 14 questions and should take about 10 minutes to complete.

Biodiversity in our Backyard Photography Exhibtion

Conservation Council of WA

When: 28th March - 30th April

Location: Perth Zoo

Description: This exhibition features entries submitted in the 2009 Conservation Week Biodiversity in our Backyard Photography Competition.  Entrants were asked to reflect WA's vast and unique biodiversity and portray the importance of biodiversity protection for the future.

Most of the photos displayed capture a single species and are therefore not biodiversity but one aspect of biodiversity. To capture biodiversity in a photograph you would need to capture the variety of lifeforms; the different plants, animals and micro-organisms in an ecosystem – which is very difficult to do.

The exhibtion features four finalists from each category; primary school, secondary school, tertiary, open amateur and open professional.
