Walk or Cycle to School Day Palmyra Primary School When: Thursday 2nd April, before school Location: Palmyra Primary School Description: Children and community members will be encouraged walk or cycle to school on Thursday the 3rd of March 2009 in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint. In the week leading up to the event students will be encouraged to consider the importance of our environment and the effect their decisions have on the environment. Children will be involved numerous activities including:
o A display on Climate Change.
o A survey on who walks or cycles to school regularly.
o Data collection on student participation in event.
o Poster creation to advertise event.
