Bessie Rischbieth Conservation Award Recipient 2003 Dr Graham Chittleborough
Graham Chittleborough is a member of the Nature and Society Forum, Sustainable Population Australia and ACF and he has been involved in environmental activism for over 40 years; back to the days of the first battles over Cockburn Sound and whaling. He has been a great motivator and leader who has served on the committees of a number of organizations and put his own scientific career on the line at great cost to himself. He has been a father figure, information source supporter and active contributor to many groups. Graham has led the first community stirrings in this State where the environment was concerned, in the days when to be at all ‘green’ was considered a sure sign of insanity.
