Why affiliate? CCWA is representative of conservation groups who are active in protecting the natural environment and involved in sustainability in WA. Our ability to conserve WA's unique environment relies on the conservation community supporting each other and working together. With the support of the community the Council is able to provide a powerful voice representative of the community to government and reflective in the media.
We can assist your community group with:
1. A Voice to Government We regularly meet with Ministers, politicians and government agencies highlighting members concerns and issues We are the first point of contact for media on any environmental issue Council representatives are actively involved in a number of committees and consultation groups
2. Networks and Contacts The Council has an extensive network and can put you in contact with other environmental groups so you can share ideas, strategies, resources and expertise We can assist with access to political and media contacts to ensure that the voice of your group is heard.
3. Environmental News Members receive current information through the e-bulletin, email updates, The Greener Times magazine & events.
4. Support for your campaign and group Campaign strategy advice – what works best Information on organisational issues e.g. fundraising, incorporation, recruiting volunteers
5. Expertise Assistance with queries on legislation and policy Assistance with writing submissions
6. Promotion Promotion of your group, events and meetings
7. Workshops and Seminars Regular, affordable or free events on a range of organisational and environmental issues.

How to affiliate? There are 3 easy steps to becoming an affiliated member group:
1. Fill out the application form *please note you can type directly into this form and email it back to us* 2. Attach your group’s Constitution (if incorporated) or a statement of aims and objectives and send off with payment to CCWA. 3. We will notify you when we have received your complete application. 4. Your application will then be voted on by members at the Council’s next General Meeting. Join a community conservation group today where you can meet people, get outdoors, have fun and actively show your support for the environment! There are thousands of community conservation groups across WA who are active on the ground. Groups are involved in tree planting days, habitat resotration, rallies, open days and expos or for the less active wiritng letters and submissions to protect our environment. Plenty of ways that you can get involved!
